Why I'm building this

Pre-production ate more of my week than the edit ever did — research in a dozen tabs, the script in a doc, footage scattered across folders. Huntopus is the tool I wanted: one project that carries everything from the idea to the edit.

It's early and I'm building it in the open. I read every application myself, and the creators who join first shape what gets built next.

What is Huntopus?

Is it available now?

It's in private beta. Apply above — we review applications and invite creators in waves.

Is it a web app or a desktop app?

Today it runs as an app in your browser. Native apps are coming soon — macOS and Windows first, with an iOS companion for capturing ideas and reviewing projects on the go. Details will be confirmed before the public beta.

Does it edit video?

No — and that's deliberate. Huntopus prepares everything BEFORE the edit, then hands your editor (or you) an organized project. Your editing tool stays your editing tool.

What does it cost?

The private beta is free. Pricing will be announced before public launch, and beta creators get founder terms.

Where do my files live?

Your material stays with you. We're building around local-first storage; details will be confirmed before the public beta.
